Description

With the explosive proliferation of applications and services dedicated to the Internet and multimedia sector, the United States has undoubtedly strengthened its leadership in the information technology sector in recent years. In this field, the renowned Silicon Valley in California is, more than ever, a nerve centre and pioneer of the developments of the future, both in industry and academia.

The setting up of partnerships or at least a close technological monitoring on this outpost of global IT is imperative for any company concerned about ensuring its sustainability in an increasingly global market.

The Wallonia Export-Investment Agency offers just such an opportunity to ICT companies through its partnership with Runway, a 30,000 m² incubator and co-working space located in the Twitter building in downtown San Francisco. This incubator is occupied by more than 80 high level start-ups specialised in new technologies.

The financial contribution of the Wallonia Export-Investment Agency

The Wallonia Export-Investment Agency proposes support for the opening of sales representative offices to support Walloon companies in their prospecting of markets outside the European Union. This makes it possible to cover a maximum of 50% of the costs borne by the company, in the form of a single flat rate for simplicity.

Terms of the contribution

The company concludes an occupancy agreement with Runway directly, with the assistance of the Wallonia Export-Investment Agency San Francisco.
